Thank you for your interest in visiting my website. There is only so much one can cover in a webpage, but I will do the best I can to tell you about myself and my yoga practice- love, devotion, meditation, asana and service. Hopefully this will inspire you in some ways.

Patsy Kuo Eisenstein (Peixi) - 2009

RYT KYTA RYT500

My Early Journey:

When I came from my birthplace in Taiwan to New York in 1986 to study graphic art and interior design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I had not yet begun to practice yoga.  By the time I completed my degree at FIT, I had started studying yoga, along with modern dance and ballet.

I continued to study yoga philosophy and practice while I sought to bring creativity and art to the business world, working in the technology industry, world trade, real estate sales and investment, and the design and building of residential housing.  During this time, yoga played an increasingly important role in my life, both when I moved back to Taiwan in the mid 90’s and when I returned to the United States in 1998..

I began teaching yoga in Taipei in the mid1990s, and intensified my study after I returned to the United States in 1998.

My Yoga Heritage and Training:

My study and training in yoga has been diverse.  Early in my journey, I practiced in the Iyngar tradition in NYC, when I returned to Taipei I studied with Yogi Lee whose father brought yoga to Taiwan. Upon my return to US, I studied Ashtanga yoga and Kripalu, and more recently Anusara yoga.  In the past several years, I have sought to combine my interests in yoga and dance in what I call the yoga of dance.

I have completed my advanced yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health I am a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance RYT500 (an advanced designation) and a member of Kripalu Certified Yoga Teachers Association (KYTA). Some of the many extraordinary teachers with whom trained are Devarshi Steven Hartman,Shiva Rea, Acharya PremShakti, and Gabrielle Roth. I am also a disciple of Swami Shankaranda continuing my study of yoga and avaita vedanta.  I have also pursued the study of natural health. I am a candidate for a  naturopathic doctor degree at Clayton College of Natural Health, and take great interest in the practice of herbalism, aromatherapy, and energy healing (reikei and shamanic medicine).

My Life Today:

Transformation in life never stops.  I continue my study of yoga and avaita vevanta.   My diverse and rich life experiences have provided me with a broad view of life's challenges and rewards which I seek to reflect in my yoga teaching.    My devotions focus on my inner growth, being a loving and wise mother to my three lovely sons, developing my yoga of dance practice and teaching yoga, and making fine art jewelry.

I bring thanksgiving and a willingness to receive what is beautiful in my daily life.  When I bring these things into my consciousness, life blossoms and personal experiences become mystical and beautiful rather an mundane.  I am devoted to sharing this enhanced consciousness and inspiring others to achieve it through the practice of yoga and dance yoga.  I seek to bring the same satisfaction and fulfillment that yoga as brought to me to others. For more information, please Contact Us  I will be happy to discuss how what I have to offer might fit your needs.
