Discovering the mystical rhythm of life! Yoga of Dance ™ is a yogic path through movement. It is a practice of discovering and expressing the mystical dance of life, with your own unique rhythms through which you create who you are.
Yoga of Dance ™ a spiritual practice through inquiries and meditation-in-motion. It is deeply influenced and inspired by the Kripalu School of Yoga, Swami Shankarananda's teaching of self realization yoga and Gabriel Roth's
Ecstatic Dance.
It is not only meant to be a tool for personal growth, exploration, and self enfoldment, it also provides a safe environment for yogis and dancers to nurture connections energetically with one another, not through socialization, but through sharing sacred space while doing individual spiritual work and dance.
It is offered in three different formats. They are a three hour workshop with specific topics each workshop, a five yoga of dance series, and an one hour and fifteen minutes Yoga of Dance ™ practice session. The three hour workshop serves as an initiation to Yoga of Dance ™ practice. The one hour and fifteen minutes Yoga of Dance ™ dance meditation is for practitioners who have participated in at least one Yoga of Dance ™ workshop to maintain their yoga of dance practice. The five week series meets once a week for two hours for a total of ten hours of session time.
Workshop
What do I feel... from my head to my chest, my shoulder to my belly, my pelvic floor to my soles? How do I fully feel myself in my body as I awaken from my habitual way of being? How do I release the holding from years of old fears, old hurts and old records that play in my head over and over again? How, so I can feel the childlike wonder and newness of being alive in this ever playful universe?
The mind and conditioning often drive our expression. In this 3-hour workshop, we explore the application and principles of yoga through the practice of meditation in motion. This experiential workshop inspires participants to find the inner path to freedom, bliss and oneness with others through yoga, movement and guided activities. Some of these activities are co-listening skills, conscious communication, holding sacred space, and more.... All of these activities will carry beyond the workshop to extend to all areas of your life. The Yoga of Dance™ inspires self-healing, non-judgment, taking ownership of your body and your life; above all it is about building confidence and freedom, increasing awareness and creating fitness, self-liberation, rejuvenation of the spirit, and unleashing the body potential for wellness.
You will experience an atmosphere of caring, kindness, and support throughout, the safe space to reclaim your authenticity. The harmony and rightness you will feel you'll carry out into the world, into the dance of your life. Next program date.
